United defender Tyrell Malacia was the passenger in the Range Rover and he and the driver were both advised to seek medical attention following the collision. The Mercedes driver, a 55-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to Macclesfield Hospital for examination.
Cheshire Police confirmed that they were called to the scene of the collision, which involved a blue Range Rover Sport and a black Mercedes C220 AMG Sport. The police apprehended the woman at the scene and took the two men to hospital. Despite the concerning circumstances, doctors quickly cleared both Malacia and the driver of any serious injuries.
