Barcelona have reportedly met with Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah's agent as they look to sign the German in the summer as a free agent.

Barcelona have shown a lot of interest in signing Tah in the summer of 2025 as they look to strengthen in defence. Despite the rise of youngster Pau Cubarsi and veteran Inigo Martinez, options have been slim with Ronald Araujo's injury causing Hansi Flick to use youngsters Sergi Dominguez and Andres Cuenca.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have also shown interest in Tah for a summer move, but has reported that Barcelona appear the favourites to sign the Germany international after his contract expires at the end of the season. The report says that sporting director Deco met with Tah's agent Pini Zahavi on Thursday, December 5.

reported that Deco, Tah, and his representatives met at a restaurant in Leverkusen and that both sides walked away from the meeting very satisfied. Zahavi, Tah's agent, has a great rapport with the Barcelona administration, which has helped the talks move forward. He also represents Barca coach Flick.

At the start of 2025, Tah will officially enter the last six months of his contract with Leverkusen and will then be open to signing a pre-contract agreement with another club for a move in the summer. However, it has been reported that Tah is yet to make his final decision on the matter.
