Per Gianluca Di Marzio, City are intent on signing Olmo and are aware that his €60m release clause expires on Tuesday. Olmo could well replace Kevin De Bruyne at the Etihad Stadium. The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and City are said to be willing to let that transfer happen, provided they receive a fee of £50m ($64m).
DID YOU KNOW?
De Bruyne endured an injury-hit campaign in 2023/24 and was limited to just 26 appearances in all competitions. Nevertheless, he provided 24 goal involvements.
Olmo, by comparison, scored eight goals and registered five assists in 25 games for RB Leipzig. He has also scored three goals and laid on two assists in five games at Euro 2024.

City must move quickly as Olmo's release clause expires soon. If they fail to trigger it, there is the potential that Leipzig can hold out for a higher fee.
