The 26-year-old suffered an ankle injury in Liverpool's Champions League last-16 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday and now the states he will miss Sunday's cup final with Newcastle.

The report adds, however, that no serious damage has been done and it is hoped Alexander-Arnold can play again this season. The right-back is in the last few months of his Liverpool contract so some fans feared he had played his last game for the club. But it seems the England international may return before the campaign finishes.
